This Privacy Policy describes how Just Work Software, LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the website deadlinecalc.com and the services offered through it (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Use. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information you provide directly:
(a) Account information: your email address and a password (stored only in cryptographically hashed form — we cannot see or recover your actual password);
(b) Calculation inputs and saved calculations: the court selections, dates, day counts, direction, service-method selections, and calculation results and reasoning you choose to save to your account;
(c) Communications: information you send us if you contact us.
Information collected automatically:
(d) Session data: we use session cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you logged in and to secure your session. These are essential cookies; the Service does not function without them;
(e) Server logs: like nearly all websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps, which we use for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
Payment information: subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your full payment card details are provided directly to Stripe and are never received or stored by us. We receive and store only a Stripe customer identifier, subscription identifier, and subscription status. Stripe’s handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
The Service is designed to operate on dates and day counts only. Do not enter client names, case numbers, case captions, privileged information, or other confidential or sensitive matter information into the Service. Saved calculations are stored as you enter them; we do not review them. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with your confidentiality and professional-responsibility obligations.
We use the information we collect to: (a) provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service; (b) create and manage your account and authenticate your access; (c) store and display your saved calculations; (d) process subscriptions and manage billing through Stripe; (e) respond to your inquiries; (f) monitor, prevent, and address technical issues, security incidents, fraud, and abuse; and (g) comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not use your saved calculations for any purpose other than displaying them to you and operating the Service.
We share information only with: (a) service providers who process it on our behalf to operate the Service — currently our web hosting provider and Stripe (payment processing) — each of which is permitted to use the information only to provide services to us; (b) legal and safety recipients, if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or others; and (c) a successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, in which case the successor will be bound by this Privacy Policy or will provide notice of a new one.
The Service currently uses only strictly necessary session cookies for authentication and security (including CSRF protection). We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, provide a consent mechanism. Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, the Service does not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
We retain your account information and saved calculations for as long as your account is active. If you delete a saved calculation, it is removed from our production database. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your account record and associated saved calculations within 30 days, except that we may retain: (a) records reasonably necessary for tax, accounting, billing-dispute, or legal-compliance purposes; (b) information in routine encrypted backups until those backups expire in the ordinary course; and (c) server logs, which are retained on a rolling basis for security purposes.
We use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information, including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), parameterized database access, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You may access and update your saved calculations at any time through your account, and delete individual saved calculations at any time. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of your account and associated data, by contacting us at admin@justworksoftware.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law. We do not discriminate against users for exercising privacy rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, or similar laws in other states), including rights to know, access, correct, delete, and port personal information. Although the Company may not currently meet the applicability thresholds of these statutes, we will honor reasonable requests of these kinds regardless. To exercise any of these rights, contact admin@justworksoftware.com.
The Service is not directed to minors and may not be used by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minor. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will delete it.
The Service is operated from the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice (such as by email to registered account holders or a prominent notice on the Service). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
